This technical documentation should introduce clarity into how our analytics works

The document is aimed at clarifying our metrics and indicators.

Supported exchanges are those exchanges that we have developed an API to.

The criteria a supported exchange must meet to become a selected exchange are as follows:

  1. A real-time bid-ask spread should be obtained publicly on this exchange.

  2. The exchange should be automatically excluded from the list of supported exchanges, if a real-time bid-ask spread is unavailable on it due to a technical or any other reason for more than 30 minutes - until the problem is solved and a real-time bid-ask spread is available again.

  3. Both a deposit and a withdrawal of 80% of instruments from the exchange should be executed within no more than two business days.

Selected exchanges are those exchanges that meet specified criteria and are considered in the calculation of the price indices.

Base currency is the currency that is bought and sold (e.g. EUR is the base currency in EUR/USD).

Price currency is the currency in which the price of a base currency is stated (e.g. USD is the price currency of EUR/USD).

Ask price is the price a buyer must accept in order to carry out the immediate transaction.

Bid price is the price a seller must accept in order to carry out the immediate transaction.

Naive mid market price represents the average of the best bid price and the best ask price.
